Leopard gecko squealing behavior is mostly associated with a fright or being startled. Squealing indicates that a Leopard gecko is in a defensive position and is willing to fight. It is very often seen with hatchling Leopard geckos as they are not tamed down yet. Skittish adult Leopard geckos might also show this behavior when picked up or misted down with water.
