Leopard Gecko
Hiding
Leopard
gecko hiding can be anything that is closed up and dark,
which can contain a moist
hide box substrate. The hide box will not only give
shelter, but also help to increase the
Leopard gecko
humidity to prevent
shedding problems. A Leopard gecko hide box can be self
made or commercially bought.
Good hide box substrates include vermiculite
and sphagnum moss. If you are thinking about
breeding,
try to make the hide box easy accessible, i.e. by placing a
lid on the top instead of using a closed box which needs to
be taken out regularly to do egg inspections.
The Leopard
gecko hide box should be placed on the cooler side of the
vivarium.
