Theoretically Leopard geckos are
ready to be sold when they start to eat. This can be as early as
three days after birth. Even if this is so, insist on buying
juvenile geckos instead of babies. Older geckos tend to give
less Leopard gecko
eating problems compared to babies.
When buying a new Leopard gecko,
ask what the
incubation temperature was. This will give you a rough idea
of the more likely gender of the gecko. Visual
Leopard gecko sexing
via external gender determination is only possible from the age
of puberty, which is variable.
